An Educational Programme in Facility Management (20 credits)

• Improve skills and knowledge of the personnel working in facility management
• Strengthen quality of facility management and improve economy in it
• Give good perspective, new tools and better ability to improve both knowledge and practice
• Network of facility management professionals

Students, who have previously had 20 credits in facility management, will have a possibility to obtain a Professional Development -diploma (40 credits).

Target group

Facility, house and construction managers, professional superintendents and instructors. Students should have a degree and fair working history.

Implementation of the education

Program has been split to periods, 2-5 credits each. One period will include classroom study 2 d/credits, a case (not in every period) and an exam. There is also a international period(1,0 credits), when focus will be on trends in facility management abroad. A final exam/study (5 credits) will completed by each student. This will be guided and evaluated by the experts from The Construction and Facility Management Unit of the Technical Research Centre of Finland and professors from University of Oulu.
