Environmental, quality and security standards for environmental companies

Six companies from Oulu region Environment Cluster had a joint project to build operation standards for their own enterprises. Through this project they got private consulting, training and support also on-line at web to build up their standards. Each company did the work themselves assigning required personnel to carry it out. Project started with company status update and preliminary study of standards in the companies. Preliminary auditing was also carried out at the end of the project to ensure readiness for future certification process.

Project focused on four themes and had each a day of training and consultancy:

1. building up a general operation standard and its management
2. environmental management and procedures
3. auditing the standards and management's survay
4. social liability, reports of financial statements, GRI

Työkaluna järjestelmien rakentamisessa ja ylläpidossa käytetään Proventia Solutions Oy:n kehittämää verkkopohjaista EnStep 4.0 -ohjelmistoa.

The main tool on the process itself was the web based EnStep 4.0 -program created by Proventia Solutions Ltd. This was used on both system design and management. During this project a model has been created for groups of companies, clusters and other networks to develop their standard operational procedures.
